Wash Away

From March 6 to 16, the new space of the Zurab Tsereteli Museum of Modern Art hosts a solo exhibition by contemporary Georgian artist Nino Chabradze — “Wash Away.”

The project marks a new stage in the artist’s creative evolution, where an expressive language transforms into an intense visual experience. From the moment of entering the space, the viewer is immersed in a charged dialogue of emotional tension, vibrant color energy, and dynamic gestural plasticity.

The exhibition title — “Wash Away” — simultaneously suggests release, disappearance, and renewal. Water here may be perceived as an element that dissolves forms, yet at the same time creates the possibility for the formation of a new identity. It is within this tension that the project’s inner dramaturgy unfolds.

Nino Chabradze’s primary expressive tools are dense, intense painterly matter and rapid, impulsive gesture. Color abandons its decorative function and transforms into an emotional structure — a visual form of inner experience.

“Wash Away” does not create a space of comfort. It is an exhibition that acts upon intuition and memory.
